Together, Team Kuuwa brings decades of experience in fleet hire, project delivery, mining logistics, and Indigenous enterprise across Western Australia

Executive Team

Managing Director

Wes Chapman, our CEO, has been around machinery and vehicles for as long as he can remember. Starting out as a mobile mechanic, he built up years of hands-on experience in equipment, maintenance and operations, along with a strong network of industry contacts.

Since taking the reins at Kuuwa, Wes has grown the business into a trusted supplier for major projects right across WA, delivering site-ready vehicles and equipment while championing partnerships that create real community impact. He’s passionate about connecting Indigenous businesses with the mining sector and showing the value of working with local suppliers.

Outside of work, Wes keeps busy with his wife and two young daughters, lifelong friends and the odd cycling commute — lycra and all.

FLEET

Stakeholder Portfolio Executive

Darren Hulme brings a wealth of experience in delivering complex projects and securing major contracts. His career highlights include multi-million-dollar national installations, large-scale refurbishments, and milestone contracts for some of Australia’s biggest infrastructure projects.

At Kuuwa, Darren leads the fleet team, working closely with clients to ensure projects run smoothly, meet every specification, and build lasting relationships based on trust and reliability.

Away from work, Darren is just as driven — he’s run eleven full marathons, regularly takes on new challenges, and makes the most of life in WA with his wife and two daughters.

Client Liaison Coordinator

Charlotte has been part of Kuuwa since the early days, helping shape the welcoming, fun environment we have today. With over a decade of administration experience in the car and healthcare industries, she brings valuable skills in customer service, cost awareness and operational efficiency to her role as Client Liaison Coordinator.

She takes pride in supporting Kuuwa’s growth and living our values every day while ensuring clients get the best possible service and support.

Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys hot Pilates, tropical travel, great food, and spending time with her much-loved pets. She has already ticked off 26 countries and is always planning the next adventure.

Lauren Joyce
Yard Co-ordinator

Lauren keeps the Kuuwa yard running smoothly, coordinating day-to-day operations, liaising with contractors and workshops, and jumping in wherever she’s needed — from driving buses to applying decals.

With more than 10 years in the car industry, including roles in licensing, fleet and parts with Toyota and time as Administration Manager at Manheim Auctions, she brings valuable experience and plenty of energy to the team.

A lifelong car enthusiast, Lauren still owns her first Toyota Celica, is active in the Perth Japanese old school car scene, and loves dogs, dark beer, smoky whiskey and social netball.

Executive Assistant

Katy is Kuuwa’s Executive Assistant, supporting the executive team and ensuring the smooth operation of the fleet. From overseeing vehicle builds and purchases to coordinating servicing, maintenance and quoting, she keeps everything running efficiently and is often the first point of contact for clients.

With over a decade of experience, Katy has worked across the Pilbara with Budget 4WD and spent more than seven years as Office Manager at Rottnest Fast Ferries, where she helped drive the company’s growth and rolled out new systems and training.

She thrives on the camaraderie at Kuuwa and enjoys working in an environment that balances productivity with fun. Outside of work, Katy loves to travel, spend summer afternoons at the beach and relax with a round of golf.

Warren Grey
Fleet Manager

Warren is Kuuwa’s Fleet Manager, bringing a wealth of knowledge from more than a decade in the mining fleet vehicle industry.

With a background as an automotive technician and years managing custom mine vehicle builds at Toyota dealerships, he oversees everything from new builds to recon and ensures the fleet is ready to meet demand.

Warren enjoys the variety of his role, where no two days are the same. Outside of work, he loves travelling abroad, jet ski fishing and making the most of the outdoors.

Pam Escott
Fleet Administrator

Pam keeps Kuuwa’s logistics running smoothly, from moving vehicles and coordinating repairs to making sure every hire leaves the yard site-ready and mine spec compliant. With almost 10 years in the rental industry, including three years with Rio Tinto, she brings deep experience and a forklift licence that comes in handy with deliveries.

She loves the fast-paced environment and constant learning that comes with the role.

Outside of work, Pam enjoys the outdoors, family time with her grandchildren, and is looking forward to exploring Australia in her new caravan.

    MARKETING, QUALITY AND COMMUNITY

Chief Marketing Officer

Megan MacNeill has been with Kuuwa since day one, launching the brand in 2019 and shaping it into what it is today. With senior marketing experience in agriculture, international education and not-for-profit leadership, she knows the power of telling a business’s story as well as selling its services.

She leads Kuuwa’s marketing with a focus on storytelling, sustainability and community, and also heads up the company’s Quality Management System.

Originally from Scotland, Megan now calls WA home with her husband and young son. She’s a self-confessed gin snob, ocean lover, and avid reader always on the hunt for her next great book.

Karisma Baluch
Marketing, QMS & Community

Karisma supports Kuuwa by maintaining and finalising the QMS, strengthening community relationships, attending events and helping build the brand, particularly with other Indigenous businesses. She also works alongside Megan, learning the ropes of marketing and communications.

She is also a proud alumna of the Follow the Dream and Deadly Sista Girlz programs, both designed to support Indigenous students in achieving their career goals.

Karisma was named runner-up in Miss NAIDOC 2025, reflecting her commitment to leadership and community. She loves the supportive atmosphere at Kuuwa and the opportunity to grow her skills while working with a dynamic team.

Outside of work, she enjoys time with her two children and playing community AFL for Gosnells Football Club.
