COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ACROSS WESTERN AUSTRALIA
At Kuuwa Rentals, community engagement is at the heart of how we do business.
We know that our success is tied to the strength of the regions we work in, from the Pilbara and Goldfields to the South West and Perth metro area.
That is why we invest in local projects, community sponsorships, and regional partnerships that deliver long-term value.
Our role goes beyond fleet hire. As an Indigenous-owned business in WA, we focus on initiatives that make communities better places to live, work and play.
HOW WE CHOOSE WHERE TO SUPPORT
We receive many requests for community support, and while we would love to help everyone, our contributions need to align with our mission and values.
To make sure our support is meaningful, we prioritise initiatives that:
• Support Indigenous communities, particularly in education, training and employment pathways
• Strengthen the regions where we operate by improving quality of life and community wellbeing • Reflect our commitment to regional WA suppliers and partners who support us in delivering fleet hire solutions This ensures our sponsorships are sustainable, transparent, and aligned with the communities we serve.
Local Projects and Partnerships in WA
BBQ Trailer – Newman (Tucker Truck)

In partnership with the Newman Women’s Shelter and Kanyirninpa Jukurrpa (KJ), Kuuwa delivered a community BBQ trailer, known locally as the Tucker Truck.
It is used for community meals, youth training, and skills programmes, creating a safe and welcoming space for connection.
This collaboration ensures the project supports those who need it most and strengthens community ties in Newman.
The Y Bus – Pilbara Youth Opportunities

Kuuwa partnered with The Y to provide a 4×4 Toyota Commuter bus, specifically chosen for its durability and off-road capability in Pilbara conditions. The bus enables young people to:
- Travel safely to and from school
- Access sporting opportunities in other Pilbara towns
- Participate in On Country cultural experiences with Elders and community leaders
This partnership ensures young people have access to safe, reliable transport that connects them to both education and culture, while also building stronger community ties across the region.
BTAC House – Supporting Members in Perth

Kuuwa has provided Buurabalayji Thalanyji Aboriginal Corporation (BTAC) with dedicated housing in the Perth metro area to support members needing accommodation while pursuing employment and training opportunities.
The BTAC House offers a safe, stable base for Thalanyji people who travel from regional WA to the city for work, education, or career development.
By creating this pathway, the initiative strengthens access to jobs, skills training, and long-term employment opportunities for Indigenous
Hybrid RAV4 – Onslow Community Support

To assist BTAC’s work in Onslow and surrounding regions, Kuuwa provided a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid.
The vehicle enables staff and community members to travel more effectively for events, medical appointments, and regional engagement.
The hybrid option also helps reduce fuel use while supporting mobility in remote locations.
Onslow Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI)

As part of our membership, we provided the Onslow CCI with a hybrid RAV4, helping their team travel across WA’s northwest to better support local businesses and community initiatives.
Regional Sports Sponsorships
Kuuwa is proud to support regional sports sponsorships across Western Australia, recognising the role local clubs play in building healthy, connected, and resilient communities.
From football in the Pilbara to hockey in Bunbury, our sponsorships help create opportunities for people of all ages to stay active, come together, and strengthen community spirit.
Supporting regional teams in towns like Newman ensures we give back to the areas where we work and maintain strong local connections.
Education and Youth Empowerment in WA

Zero2Hero
Our sponsorship of Zero2Hero strengthens youth mental health education, equipping young people with the skills to support themselves and others.

MADALAH
We have proudly sponsored MADALAH scholarships for four years, supporting Indigenous students in secondary and tertiary education across WA.
Innovation and Regional Growth

Kuuwa was recognised in the CORE Hot 30 Innovators for our work in fleet sustainability. We actively participate in CORE events across Perth and regional WA, and support the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct (AARP) through demonstrations of hybrid and electric fleet hire solutions.

We are proud members of Newman, Hedland, Karratha and Onslow Chambers of Commerce, ensuring we remain connected to the needs of local businesses and regional economies.
Giving Back to the Regions That Support Us
Our work relies on a strong network of regional suppliers, and we believe in giving back to the areas that help us deliver for clients. By reinvesting in local communities, we strengthen supply chains, build resilience, and ensure our growth creates shared benefits.
Why It Matters
Kuuwa Rentals’ community engagement in WA is not an afterthought; it is built into how we operate.
By focusing on Indigenous partnerships, youth empowerment, education, and regional sponsorships, we create opportunities that last beyond the life of a project.
Whether it’s providing hybrid vehicles for community organisations, sponsoring youth mental health programmes, or supporting regional innovation, we are committed to making a positive difference across Western Australia.
